Thank you to everyone for sticking with us on this and for waiting so long and so patiently.

November 2020 - Video Update
over 3 years ago – Sat, Nov 21, 2020 at 08:49:19 PM

I've been touching base with folks as I start their screen sets.

Some have contacted me as they remembered I still existed and this project was still unfulfilled.

I'm posting a video update today with my current status which is mostly messy chaos, but fear not. I'm making progress.

The video is raw and unedited and depicts a real representation of the status and state of things.

I'm both sorry and happy to share it with you.

Posting this now while the video is still processing on youtube... so it'll go live soon.

Now back to the shop.

Almost done with my other three campaigns (down to 26 pledge transfers) then on to this campaign... 23 pledges to go till this one is complete.
almost 4 years ago – Thu, Jun 18, 2020 at 05:37:40 AM

Yea, but you said you were working on them already...

Which I have been but that work has created so many machined but unfinished parts i'm out of room...

So... I've gotten literally hundreds of pledge transfer orders and shipped all but 26 of them in the last 2  month.

I expect to be done with the other 3 campaigns pledge transfers, credit and shipping by the end of June at the last, which puts me on to the next and final Kickstarter project.

This one.

As noted before I've been able to ship a couple screens to folks who were willing to take exchanges for things I've already go done... and thank you for that.

The rest will need to either be finished or machined and finished.

Towers are included in the machining process and are in good order. Keeps, are in the same boat.

Anyone who had a set that came with a flume panel, will be getting an in-line tower instead. Its a much better solution that takes up much less space and is more effective for randomizing. Flumes are still available so if you really want one, you can buy one, but the flume inset panel, was a poor design and is better suited to be retired in favor of the in-line tower with 2-way switch and replaced by the cliffs panel and another map and character panel... you'll see when you get your master and apprentice sets... If you REALLY hate what I've chosen for this final revision... we'll figure out how to fix it. But I don't expect you will... .anyway, let me know and as always I'll work to make things right for you.

All conventions here in Washington State have been canceled, plus we've got protests and a CHOP/CHAZ zone in seattle, where my wood store is... plus the Covid-19 is upon us, and shipping appears to be un-reliable... so things are the same here as everywhere.

Speaking of shipping.

I shipped three pledges since the last update while I've been working on the other campaigns and the transfers and credits and all that.

With 23 sets left to ship, I'll be in touch as I get your remaining screens done to update your addresses before I send them along.

Thanks everyone. Another couple weeks to go on the other campaign pledge transfers and then I'll wrap this one up as well.

Some pics of the current state of wood and projects in the shop.. its a mess and getting messier... when this is done it's going to be time for a full shop cleaning and overhaul.

Machined and in-process screens.
Machine blank off-cuts
Machine blanks waiting to be fixture drilled
Machine blanks planned to thickness and ready to start the process
70+ gallons of chips and sawdust from machining and sanding.... notice the different colored layers in the clear collectors all different woods

5 Months - What I've been doing
almost 4 years ago – Sat, May 09, 2020 at 02:23:23 PM

 On this project:

  • Machining screens
  • Refining and finalizing a final product design
  • Proofing engraving offerings and finalizing which work and which don't

In my life:

  • Recovering still
  • My mother died in January this year (2020)
  • Coping and handling my mothers death and the new reponsibility of caring for my father
  • Dealing with the 80% reduction in income due to the Covid-19 virus
  • Doing what I can with what I have

So that's the short version. I'm not going into the details of any of this as it's mostly pretty clear I think, but if I'm wrong on this, you know where to find me. 425-591-0403 [email protected]

I'm adopting a new strategy for my other 3 ongoing kickstarter projects but I'm still working to finish this one as close to what I offered as possible.

Some things have changed over time:

1. Some designs have been updated or discarded due to the lack of function and the difficulty in producing. This means that if you pledged for 4 panels, you'll get 4 panels as close to what you pledged for as possible.

2. Some accessories like lights have been canceled due to the trouble in getting them to function properly, the expense or the reduction in design functionality required to make them part of the package.

3. Engraving has been a huge point of trouble as to make the screens functional and engrave them there are limitations for section width that only allow a certain depth of engraving, and some designs go deeper or don't look like they should, so have to be discontinued.

I've got 26 screens left to ship, same as before, I just finished some I need to confirm addresses for and I should have enough wood right now to finish the rest. The piles of screen panels I showed before has grown and some things have been added like magnetic binders to sets that come with the Cliffs panel.

I'll be in touch as I get your screen set done.

Thanks for hanging in there... I don't know when I'll get these all finished, but I am still working on it.

34 done - 26 to ship
