Initiative Tracker Baker's dozen marker/cube set:$125

That's 26 individual markers and 13 sets of paired markers for clamping and displaying.

Want just one kind of wood? No problem. Price stay the same however. Want to specify how much of each... total custom? Add $75 and get exactly what you want up to 13 sets. ($200 for total custom

  • Cherry
  • White Oak
  • White Maple
  • Kingwood
  • Chakte Viga
  • Bloodwood
  • Zebrawood
  • Gaboon Ebony
  • Yellowheart
  • Bolivian Rosewood
  • Bocote
  • Walnut
  • Canarywood

Of add-ons I've added today.

They'll be a few more but I think I've got the bulk of them up. Now I need pictures and descriptions.

What's the best news of today?

The Initiative ridge built into every single Dice Base: Master Screen panel now has hardwood and exotic initiative blocks which fit perfectly and provide some exclusive and unique functionality.

But wait! You want more than just six markers, Done. You get up to 4-hardpoints per panel  and with a standard screen setup having at least three panels, that's 12 magnetic hardpoints for your initiative markers to live.

What do they look like? How do they work? Do I need special metal cards, or wooden tiles or? or? or?

They work with wood. They work with metal, they work with LED lights in packages. They work with 3x5 cards, they work with cats, dogs and iguanas.

There is no "tray". There are no set "cards". There is no "one way" to do it.

Check it:

12 trackers across three standard screens using whatever you want... plastic, metal paper, anything that can be clamped between two crazy strong magnets... you can use.

Look how nice they line up like that... you'd think I planned it that way... I did!

But wait.... they don't just sit there... leave them facing flat for players whose turn has not come yet... turn to profile for players or monsters who've gone. Just that easy.

Just pick them off, move them around and modify as needed between encounters. They're happy to sit flat too!

So here's what happens next....
about 2 years ago – Mon, Feb 13, 2017 at 11:42:55 PM

First,

THANK YOU!

What a fun campaign.

Here's what happens next:

1. Two weeks pass till February 28th then the Kickstarter Funds are cleared and deposited to my bank.

2. During that time I'll be doing the following:

  • Creating Backer Kit surveys and add-ons
  • Getting new pictures of all items and writing descriptions for each item and all options.
  • Sending out Backer Kit surveys
  • Receiving your responses and beginning my materials and tooling lists

3. I'll be in touch during this period but there's not much to do for you until I get the surveys done and sent... then its a second party time... especially for those who pledged at the $25 level... time to review all the options and assemble your perfect Dice Base Master Screen setup.

4. Answering any questions that come up during this time frame and being generally available for my backers.

5. Accepting, processing and testing all custom art for engraving. Could be easy, might be a huge pain... we'll see.

Once the funds are released, and you've answered your surveys and those funds are released... (Thinking sometime around the end of March) I'll be ready to buy wood, tooling and begin work.  Depending on how things go in BackerKit, I may be able to afford a 2nd CNC which will cut my production time in half... really depends on how well that segment goes.

So for the next few days I'll be heads-down working on surveys and finishing items for pictures, taking pictures and generally taking one huge collective breath.

After I get the surveys done it takes a couple days for the BackerKit piece to be processed and approved, then it'll be survey time... like I say... around the end of the month of February, if not sooner.

To sum-up:

  • Now till February 28th - Paperwork and setup for Backerkit (ZucatiCorp)
  • February 28th - March 31st - Fill out pick out and reply and return Backerkit Surveys (YOU)
  • April - July (Manufacturing) (ZucatiCorp)
  • August - Project finalization and shipping planning
  • September - Your Dice Base Master Screens SHIP!

As with all my projects, if something comes up to change this rough schedule, you'll be the first to know.

Thanks everyone.

Sit back, relax and enjoy these next two weeks (or less) and I'll get the Backer Kit Surveys out to you before you know it.

The KEEP - Exaclty how much does it keep?
about 2 years ago – Wed, Feb 08, 2017 at 10:51:33 PM

In simple terms, a lot, especially when you're talking about dice, tokens and miniatures.

To put things in perspective I took some pictures with some common gaming objects and some just plain common objects.

Have a look.

This is The KEEP V2.0 (and what will ship for this campaign)

13.25" x 6.75" x 4.00" outside dimensions. Big, but not too big, nor too small. Just Right.

The top cubby is 2.75" x 3.75" x 5.75" interior dimensions. Big enough for just about anything or things you want to stow there.

Made from 100% solid wood. Milled, planed and finished just like a real piece of furniture. Slotted and assembled with love and care.

Finger cut-outs made for real fingers, and even man-paws like mine. no poking yourself when trying to open these drawers.

Is this a "Peronal rolling tray"? No. its just a drawer. As if that wasn't enough for it to be.... No cut-outs, no multi-purpose... just a finely made drawer in Poplar. Inside dimensions 3.25" x 5.25" x 2.25".

And each of the large drawers can hold 50 3x5 Notecards (on the bottom) A GoPro 4 with Waterproof case, its wireless remote, a 36" leather strap with double brass D-Rings and some room left to stuff a bit more.

Ok, prove it, stuff that all in the tower... OK... Done. Now what about the top? Just perfect for that macaroni soup-can thing your kid made you last year, plus a full size roll of Scotch Tape... and as always... with room to spare.

Is THIS a "Personal Rolling Tray" Because, I've heard those are the thing these days... NO! Its just the smaller drawer! Ok, sure, you can personally use it to roll dice into.. go on. If you have to.

All trays... er... drawers come with a nice thick leather pad on the bottom. All come nicely fitted and ready to use and all are ready for use as rolling trays if you just have to do so... though... to me it seems like buying a dresser, taking out the drawers and using them to play marbles in... I mean, you could... but why would you want to?

Drawers are good enough for us here at ZucatiCorp (we make actual rolling trays if you need one... check out our Dice Base system here: DICE BASE.

In total this KEEP will store 330 standard dice. About 8 average ripe avacodos, more minatures than I or my wife own together, and a whole lot of other cool and usefull stuff....

So what was that macaroni thing again? Yea, that was my son's 3rd grade pencil cup he made.. .and rather than going to the shop and making some fancy pencil holder... I figured... I've got this... plunk (on the top of the keep) Why not?  Even looks kind of like a castle turret... if they were made out of pasta shells and soup cans.

Thanks everyone!

4 Days to go.

Keep V2 and Tower V1.5 + Tower / Keep Trays
about 2 years ago – Tue, Feb 07, 2017 at 09:23:07 PM

I think these pics speak for themselves so I'm just going to post and let you have a look.

The big news is that the Keep is now in V2 and has room for 3x5 notecards in its drawers and trays. The trays for the TOWER now stow in the KEEP and there's lots of cool options for stowage and configuration and interaction between the two.

Thanks for all your support.

Lets get another backer and put this campaign to 50!

Want to freestand your TOWER... no problem. Magnet the two TOWER TRAYS onto it and you're set.

Got the tower out of the picture but just need a rolling surface or tray? Use one or both trays together, poof, you're set. Trays will come leather lined.

Just want the tower and no trays... at least for a time? No problem. Trays stow in the Keep like they were meant to.,.. oh yea.. they are.

The new keep stores 3x5 notecards in its drawers comfortably.. and for BIGGER items... just remove the drawers and make them big item shelves.

Attach the tower to anything you want. Between screen panels, to the KEEP or all by itself. Attach a tray or live dangerously.

I did mention that the drawers and trays store 3x5 cards nicely didn't I?

 Thanks everyone!

Your support keeps me going and feeds my family.

You make my life possible.

Please share this campaign with anyone in the market for a GM screen. Even if they may think they've seen the best there is... they may not have seen ours.

(Which is the best... lol... one of the best)

Thanks everyone!
