Schedule for the first batch of DM Screens

We're going to take this on in several different ways.

1. Alphabetical

2. First in first out

3. Random

For this first batch I rolled a D4 and came up with #1, so this first batch of rewards will be alphabetical.

There are 50 backers who paid, responded and are in the cue for machining. Several backers dropped out.

There are 3 backers who for whatever reason (contact me any time at 425-591-0403) have not responded to their surveys and so are not included for the time being.

Here's the list and rough dates for the first batch:

There's 22 folks in the first batch... I chose them in A-Z order and I'm reversing that for deliver to Z-A order for a double random order...  Trying to be as fair as possible.

I figure 4 backers per week for about 13 weeks, That means from July 14th for the first to October 13th is the rough time-block we're looking at.

Could be a bit faster, could be a bit slower, but this is what I can say right now is looking good.

As we progress I may be in touch to confirm details or re-acquire art (had a computer crash and the main victim was my inbox.. I've got most of it I think, but just keep an eye out for any mails from us for new artwork for engraving... no big deal.

We'll be shipping as we complete the screen packages in order so we won't be holding anyone's finished pledge back. When its done and ready to go, it ships.

Here's the work order as it stands today.

July 14

  • Joe Liedtke
  • Jeff Obenschain
  • Heather White
  • Grant Dagg

July 21

  • Geoffrey Alleger
  • Gary James
  • Robert Biskup
  • Erik Ingersen

July 28th

  • Emma Farrow
  • Erik Brickman
  • Doug Jacobs
  • David Speakman

August 4th

  • David Morgan
  • David Di Muro
  • Daniel Wentzel
  • Craig Connor

August 11th

  • Christopher Tavares
  • Christopher Anderson
  • Charles Wasserman
  • Brett Williams
  • Barbara Paul
  • Amber Black

This gets us a little under half way there. After these are complete I'll use another sorting method for the remaining 28 and then schedule those out.

Thanks for your patience.

Work begins at the end of May....
over 2 years ago – Sat, May 13, 2017 at 08:56:34 PM

I've been shuffling projects around in the shop and its time to shuffle this one to the top.

The wood is in-house, the tooling is ready the programs are written.

Time to begin making some chips!

There are 64 backers on this campaign and so I'm going to try something a little different.

I'm going to break out each backer into their own scheduled window and post that schedule here...

This will allow me to handle all the custom aspects of each pledge for each backer easily and at one time. It also means that you'll all know when to expect your Master Screens.

I'll be back in a few days with a schedule and timeline on who's going first and the order of completion.

Thanks for being patient with me on this folks. Structure is almost here.

Right,

One last thing of note.

If you have engraving as part of your pledge I need you to send me your art again. I had it all stored in e-mail and suffered a computer crash that lost most of it... so... I need it again.

If you miss this, I'll be in touch when I get to your order, but the more I've got in advance the faster I can go.

Send your art to: engraving@zucaticorp.com and include notes on placement or if we should talk in person. (I'm using my trusty paper notebook for my notes this time around and backing up my mail off-server... so fool me once...  :)

1/1 Master Beta Screen Available...
over 2 years ago – Fri, Apr 14, 2017 at 08:54:55 PM

I'm almost done buying wood for this campaign and rounding up all the tooling needed.

I'm converting programs from one CNC system to another and finalizing plans on how to deliver these screens to you...

In the mean time as part of this process I just finished my review and notes on my beta system I used in this campaign...

I've gotten all i need from it and have put it up for sale as an as-is beta product in my etsy.com store here:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/511154046/dice-base-master-screen-11-full-beta?ref=shop_home_active_2

This is available to the general public and as its both not 100% complete or the final versions of the included components and as there's only 1 set like this its being made available for anyone who wants to finish off the customization of the system themselves (details in listing) or wants another set for a near and dear Gamemaster or friend who might have missed out.

I'll be listing the older prototype versions in the next few days so other revisions will show up... each less finiished and earlier in the development process than the last.

Current listing... this is the beta of the system I'm making for each of you.

The alpha system... this is the first real view of what the final product would be... even rougher than the beta.

Pre-Alpha - this is the beginning notes for the design work.

3rd trial piece... no where near alpha... but still interesting and usefull in the right setup.

At any rate, these are pieces I did before and during the campaign, no work has started yet on production pieces and no production pieces will be sold till all of you have yours.

Thanks again everyone!

A quick video of the new machine in action.

Its faster, more accurate and easier to use than my Romaxx... which is not to knock the Romaxx.. .its made more than 2000 parts without a serious problem...so... here's hoping this new machine is even better.

Thanks for your support everyone.

You've all  made this possible.
