For a really fun and exciting campaign and after-campaign.
The Kickstarter money is transferring into my account right now and most backers have made their selections.
Here's where things are at:
The 13 that are left are almost all larger pledges and or custom committed pledges so while there aren't very many, they could make a big impact on what and how much material is needed, so I'm forced to hold back until I get these backers in the system.
The original close date for the survey was to be the end of March, and if most folks had needed that time it would be no problem. But most have spoken and are now waiting on the few.
If there's any way I can help, please let me know: firstname.lastname@example.org.
I'd really like to get these last few surveys taken care of and move to the next phase.
I know some of the remaining backers have reasons they haven't proceeded and have contacted me directly. For those, DON'T STRESS. Take your time. We can wait, or I can proceed with enough info minus 1-2 backers that it won't be a big deal.
13 however is too many to try and guess at. So... Find your survey, Fill it out, add-on your additional items and lets all move to the next phase.
What's already in motion:
1. With the additional funds raised in Backerkit I've been able to take the next step forward in my shop and tooling evolution and purchase a second CNC machine:
It's being made right now and should arrive around the second week in April. This is a huge upgrade from my current machine in both precision, table size and capacity. I'm clearing space and running power now while the machine is assembled and shipped.
When this new machine arrives I'll be using my current Romaxx CNC HS1 as a more dedicated engraving and 3d carving machine as well as a secondary backup for increased production capacity when needed.
I can't tell you how big a deal this is for me... it effectively doubles my production capacity and allows me to produce more precise and complex parts.
All of your new MASTER screens will be made on this new Axiom machine and will be even better looking and better fitting than anything I've been able to produce and show in this campaign... and you all have made this possible... its a WIN / WIN for everyone!
When I get the remaining surveys completed I'll be making my materials purchase and begin the next phase of wood prep and layout.
Thanks again everyone!
I'll be waiting for those last few surveys to roll in, then its time to get to work!

Of the surveys have been returned, which is excellent!
I've gotten a bunch of artwork to engrave as well.. .very nice!
What's left are the remaining surveys, any changes folks may want to make before lockdown and then lockdown itself.
I'm going to lock down the survey that are already turned in later today or tomorrow... That means if you're still deciding on your pledge or adding on that one last thing you seriously need. Do it before tomorrow. After today I'll need to make any further changes.

That's 26 individual markers and 13 sets of paired markers for clamping and displaying.
Want just one kind of wood? No problem. Price stay the same however. Want to specify how much of each... total custom? Add $75 and get exactly what you want up to 13 sets. ($200 for total custom)
Of add-ons I've added today.
They'll be a few more but I think I've got the bulk of them up. Now I need pictures and descriptions.
What's the best news of today?
The Initiative ridge built into every single Dice Base: Master Screen panel now has hardwood and exotic initiative blocks which fit perfectly and provide some exclusive and unique functionality.
But wait! You want more than just six markers, Done. You get up to 4-hardpoints per panel and with a standard screen setup having at least three panels, that's 12 magnetic hardpoints for your initiative markers to live.
What do they look like? How do they work? Do I need special metal cards, or wooden tiles or? or? or?
They work with wood. They work with metal, they work with LED lights in packages. They work with 3x5 cards, they work with cats, dogs and iguanas.
There is no "tray". There are no set "cards". There is no "one way" to do it.
So here's what happens next....

What a fun campaign.
Here's what happens next:
1. Two weeks pass till February 28th then the Kickstarter Funds are cleared and deposited to my bank.
2. During that time I'll be doing the following:
Creating Backer Kit surveys and add-ons
Getting new pictures of all items and writing descriptions for each item and all options.
Sending out Backer Kit surveys
Receiving your responses and beginning my materials and tooling lists
3. I'll be in touch during this period but there's not much to do for you until I get the surveys done and sent... then its a second party time... especially for those who pledged at the $25 level... time to review all the options and assemble your perfect Dice Base Master Screen setup.
4. Answering any questions that come up during this time frame and being generally available for my backers.
5. Accepting, processing and testing all custom art for engraving. Could be easy, might be a huge pain... we'll see.
Once the funds are released, and you've answered your surveys and those funds are released... (Thinking sometime around the end of March) I'll be ready to buy wood, tooling and begin work. Depending on how things go in BackerKit, I may be able to afford a 2nd CNC which will cut my production time in half... really depends on how well that segment goes.
So for the next few days I'll be heads-down working on surveys and finishing items for pictures, taking pictures and generally taking one huge collective breath.
After I get the surveys done it takes a couple days for the BackerKit piece to be processed and approved, then it'll be survey time... like I say... around the end of the month of February, if not sooner.
Now till February 28th - Paperwork and setup for Backerkit (ZucatiCorp)
February 28th - March 31st - Fill out pick out and reply and return Backerkit Surveys (YOU)
April - July (Manufacturing) (ZucatiCorp)
August - Project finalization and shipping planning
September - Your Dice Base Master Screens SHIP!
As with all my projects, if something comes up to change this rough schedule, you'll be the first to know.
Sit back, relax and enjoy these next two weeks (or less) and I'll get the Backer Kit Surveys out to you before you know it.
